Why do we suggest Sprinters with Diesel Engines? Diesel engines are superior to Gasoline engines in many ways. Supporting our large fleet of Sprinter Vans is, Steven, a well-trained and educated diesel mechanic. He launches into a tirade with his heavy German accent when he hears people say that diesels are an old engine technique and therefore not popular in cars. We finally figured out what Steven was saying and want to pass some interesting facts about CDI diesel engines onto you.
More Reliable: – When Rudolf Diesel designed the first diesel engine over 100 years ago, he ran it on peanut-oil just to show how different a diesel engine was from any known engine at that time. This holds true even today. Diesels have fewer moving parts and operate at lower combustion temperatures (fewer parts mean fewer failures, lower temps mean less friction), and the engines are longer lasting than comparable gas models.
